Give in Kind, Give from the Heart

There are many meaningful ways to support the mission of South Chicago Parents and Friends—and one of the most impactful is through in-kind donations. These non-monetary gifts of goods or services play a vital role in helping us meet the daily needs of those we serve, and they make a difference you can see and feel in our community programs.

In-kind contributions can include just about anything—from office and recreational supplies to household furnishings and personal care items. We maintain Amazon Wish Lists to make giving easy and purposeful. These lists highlight much-needed items for our Community Day Service programs at the Cap Center and the Dolton Center, as well as for our Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) homes, where residents thrive in supportive, homey environments.

You might be surprised what treasures are already in your home—gently-used furniture, like-new clothing, books, puzzles, games, or kitchenware—that could bring joy and comfort to others. Past donations have helped furnish common areas, stock our activity rooms, and provide personal touches that transform a space into a welcoming home.

Every in-kind donation, no matter how big or small, is a gesture of care. It tells the people we support that they are seen and valued. Take a moment to look around—you might have exactly what someone needs.
