Self Advocate Leadership Team (SALT)

The Self Advocate Leadership Team (SALT) is comprised of consumers who represent all areas of service at SCPF–Community Day Services, Homebased, and Residential. Members meet bi-monthly to bring ideas, suggestions, and questions to administration that they have gathered from each other and from fellow consumers. Examples of successful initiatives brought about by the SALT include monthly birthday celebrations at the day programs, Coloring Club, the annual Guys Day/Girls Day parties, recycling programs at both Cap and Dolton Centers, and increased volunteer opportunities. Additionally, SALT members help plan our two annual all-agency gatherings: the summer kickoff picnic and the Christmas party. Meeting minutes are distributed to administrative and operations departments and the board of directors for assistance in implementing viable suggestions.
