Other Contributions

Donations are the rock on which South Chicago Parents and Friends is built, in order to provide quality services to children and adults with disabilities. There are many ways to help support South Chicago Parents and Friends while gaining a tax benefit.

You can have a lasting impact on the quality of life in your community for years to come by including charitable donations in your estate plan. Your decision to provide financial support to non-profit organizations also gives you assurance that your estate will impact the organizations you care about, and will support your community in the future. Leave your legacy by naming South Chicago Parents and Friends as beneficiary of an insurance policy, IRA, retirement plan, or charitable remainder trust. You can also make a charitable bequest to South Chicago Parents and Friends in your will. These planned gifts can provide a tax savings to you and your heirs.

Another way to donate to South Chicago Parents and Friends is in-kind donations. In-kind donations are things you may have at home that could benefit others. Take a look around your house and you’re sure to find an item or two that you may no longer have use for, that our organization could put to good use. Some items that we’ve received in the past, and look forward to, include furniture, clothing, books, games, and various home furnishings.

Lastly, you can make a gift in two other ways: a memorial gift in memory of a friend, participant or family member, or in celebration of a birthday, anniversary, employment milestone, or any other event you may wish to commemorate. This type of donation will provide a lasting tribute to you or your family.

If you wish to receive more information on how you can make a difference through a donation, please contact Tom Schell, Executive Director, at extension 225.
